Ella Schwakopf

Ella grew up dancing competitively and taking classes in a variety of styles (Contemporary, Ballet, Jazz, and Lyrical). Ella graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College with degrees in Dance and Geography. While at Gustavus she focused on modern techniques and somatic understandings of movement. In addition to performing with and being a member of the Gustavus Dance Company, she served as a teaching assistant for the Theatre & Dance department and co-directed the "Shared Space: 3-Dimensional" dance concert. She was fortunate enough to be invited to present both research and choreography at the American College Dance Association Conference.
